New to Counter Strike: Global Offensive and struggling with improving your aim? Here's 5 great tips that might be able clue newcomers in to things that aren't covered by the in-game weapons course.
#1: Invest in a Good Mouse and Set It Low
- CS:GO Observer Custom HUD. Shout-out to RedSparr0w for base code and idea! You are the best, man. How does it work? Basically, CS:GO is streaming data to local app-server, that transformes data and then load it to local webpage.
- If enabled (1) reserve slots are hidden in the server browser window when they are not in use. For example a 24 player server with 2 reserved slots will show as a 22 player server (until the reserved slots are occupied). To connect to the reserved slot of a server that shows as full you will need to use 'connect ip:port' in console.
- How to increase your chances of winning in slots Slots are one of the most entertaining casino games that offer not only a lot of fun but also reasonable payout prospects. With all its flashing lights, dramatic and loud music, and diverse skin packs, slots have become a favorite game for millions of players around the world.
- Feb 09, 2014 Spectators do take up slots that have to be paid for by the server renter. I rent servers with 20 slots. Those are now showing as 16 player 4 spectator (unless I can reset it manually for the round using rcon systems like Procon. It's a similar story for my 48 slot server.
CS:GO is a game where having a quality mouse is essential. Precision shots and quick mouse swipes can be ruined by a crappy mouse that has poor tracking or that sometimes skips across the screen. Here are a few of the top mice used for CS:GO:
Welcome to the upgrade skins site for CS:GO players – Upgrade.gg! Upgrade your old skins, increase the value by 1-2% so a guaranteed improvement! Upgrade.gg is a CSGO upgrade gambling system that can up the value of your skin by 1.5x, 2x, 5x and 10x. So, you can for all intents and purposes upgrade your $2 skin with a $50 one. We would add 2 new DM servers btw with 16 slots to make up for the loss of slots. Would still end up less with todays, but only like 10-12 slots less. Hardware the FPS sometimes dips too low on 18-20 man FFAs and 16 player FFA is much more enjoyable and probably would increase server performance as well. Counter-Strike: Global.
- Logitech G400s - My personal choice! A great value mouse that will last you forever.
Mouse DPI/Sensitivity Settings
When it comes to mouse DPI and sensitivity settings, stay low! Pretty much all serious CS:GO players have an in-game sensitivity lower than 3 and play with a mouse DPI of 400.
Start out by setting your mouse's DPI to 400 and then use this great tutorial to find the right in-game sensitivity for you.
Also keep in mind that playing at a low sensitivity can take a bit of time to get used to as it did for me, but rest assured that once you become accustomed it really will pay off.
#2: Get a Mouse Pad the Size of Nebraska
Fig 1. - A visual comparison.
Alright, so maybe not as big as Nebraska, but you get the point. All top CS:GO players use unusually large mouse pads. Why? The idea behind this one is that a large mouse pad, coupled with a low DPI/sensitivity, gives you a bigger area to move and place your mouse in turn allowing you to have more precision with your crosshair in an easier fashion.
Here is a few of the top mouse pads used for CS:GO:
- Razer Goliathus (You'll want the large size.)
#3: Start Shooting at Walls
Can your spray make tight bullet groupings like this?
This may sound silly, but spraying at a wall is the best way to practice and keep tabs on your recoil control. Every gun in CS:GO has a unique recoil pattern that should be learned and ingrained into your muscle memory. The two important patterns to learn are the M4 patterns and the AK-47 pattern. Here is a great video put out by friberg demonstrating those patterns and how to practice them on a wall.
When I started getting serious about my skills I spent a great deal of time during warmup rounds and deathmatches shooting at walls, practicing my spray. It made a huge difference for me and I truly believe it could make a huge difference for you too.
#4: Practice The Right Way
When it comes to practicing your aim, playing competitive matches can be beneficial. What is even more beneficial, and will produce results far faster than matches, is using practice methods such as bot execs, deathmatch, and aim training maps.
If you are new to CS:GO and combine these practice methods with the other tips I've talked about in this article, you should start seeing results at a much faster rate. Also remember that most top players spend hours every week practicing and keeping their aim on point through these same methods.
How much can you win on Slots? The sum of the payout depends on the combination you line up on the screen and the size of your bet. The maximum win on Slots varies from one game to the other. Progressive Slots are the games with the highest possible wins. How often do. Progressive jackpots are not restricted to online slots, though. The largest ever payout on a slot machine came back on March 21, 2003, when a 25-year-old engineer from Los Angeles triggered a jackpot worth $39,710,826 on the Megabucks slot at the Excalibur casino. What slots win the most.
Bot Executables
If you are new to CS:GO this might be your best place to start working on your marksmanship. A bot executable is a config that you place into your Steam CS:GO files. Then when you're in an 'Offline with Bots' game, you type a command into the console and it'll set up the game for you. It loads 12 or so enemy bots into the game that have no guns, don't fight back, and respawn constantly. The idea is to run around shooting at these passive bots, practicing your aim, your reactions, your accuracy, and your spray control.
Bot executables will help you get a really good feel for shooting in CS:GO. If you spend an hour or so doing this and then jump into an online game, shooting at the enemies should feel a bit more like second nature.
Here is a good guide for setting up your own bot executable.
#5: Keep on Practicing
Las vegas quick hit slot machines. I put practicing into two different tips to help get the point acrosst of how important practicing is! Here are more good ways for you to practice:
Aim Training Maps
Aim training maps are a fun way for beginners to practice as they can keep track of things like your speed and accuracy and also can be played alot of different ways. For example this map, training_aim_csgo, has a mode where green dots will appear at random locations on the wall. You have only a few seconds to shoot the dots before they disapear and it keeps track of how many dots you hit in a set amount of time. It's kind of like playing whack-a-mole, but in CS:GO!
Deathmatch Servers
Deathmatch is the most popular and competitive way to practice your aim. I'd recommend staying away from deathmatch servers until you feel you have solid shooting skills, because they can be fairly frustrating if you don't do well. Getting wrecked in deathmatch may hamper your CS:GO experience and deter you from playing the game altogether.
As far as deathmatch servers go, there's the standard free-for-all/team deathmatch servers. Most standard deathmatch servers stay primarily on de_dust2 (a staple in CS:GO map pool).
Also there is aim map deathmatch servers that rotate between maps like aim_usp and aim_ak-colt and allow you to focus more on long-range shooting and controlling your rifle at a distance.
Another type of deathmatch server is the headshot-only deathmatch server. The headshot-only server is the same as regular deathmatch, except that the only way to damage an opponent is by shooting them in the head. This forces you to focus and practice your headshots. Headshot-only is a type of server I'd definitely recommend staying away from until you have solid shooting skills, as it is can be very tough, especially for new players.

Increase Spectator Slots Csgo

Why have all my servers suddenly got 4 enabled spectator slots, since the R24 server patch?
I have not enabled spectator. I don't want spectators and don't want to be paying for slots that cannot be used by players (assuming I'm lucky enough to attract them).
I'm running servers with Hardcore preset. Indeed given you can't even have a minimap or killcam in hardcore, surely nobody should get an advantage by being able to spectate
My startup configs include the line 'vars.maxSpectators 0'
It seems irrelevant what over-ride settings you might try and set within Procon. You might get slots to clear to their proper settings for a round, but then they reset back to spectators next round.
This game is fast going backwards with bugs and issues introduced on every so called patch.

have you tried setting it all back to default settings then set it again to what you want re-start server and see how that goes.

Spectators do take up slots, i.e if your server is a 32 slot, you can only get a max of 28 players in a game.
I am hoping it is a bug, and not a forced requirement, I have a work around this though via procon.
Here is my reply on the procon forums, which others have confirmed works:-
'Its another new bug after todays R14 Server patch, all servers are losing 4 slots to spectators, despite vars.maxSpectators 0 hard coded in configs, regardless of game mode, hardcore/custom/preset.
I found a fix using the command repeater plugin setting it to repeat every 60 seconds vars.maxSpectators 0'

Resetting servers makes no apparent difference. The server is no longer reading the configurations that had been working just fine. Telling us to wipe and revert to default settings is the same as telling people in the sound issues thread that they need to change settings of their sound card., wrong.
But inevitably nobody at DICE will care and admit on this board that they have once again stuffed things up.

Why don't you want any spectators ? Are you afraid they might find people (you) cheating on your server ?

HAHA, most of us have many anti cheat detections, like PBBANS & Metabans and the like. Simple answer is, if you want hardcore with no minimap etc, it kinda defeats the object if someone can spectate players and report their positions via voice comms etc, also at an average of £1.00 per slot, why would I want to waste £4.00 a month on fuck all? In cod you can spectate but it doesn't take up server rental slots!!

Exactly !
But it appears those same crying babies always banging on about server ToS..don't like it when it applies to them.
Spec mode it to assist in policing your servers for cheaters..why would you not see this as an advantage ?
Some Spec places available are enough..having four forced on you isn't..seems like time to cancel your server m8

Spectator mode should be mandatory.

You can still press M for the map. And btw PBBans and the like only ban a very small portion of cheaters (ones caught by punkbuster). I have reported many aimboters with video proof and they are still enjoying the game at this very moment.

Garbage excuse..used by the ill-informed and cheaters.
You do not need Spec mode to disrupt the game (if you want to waste your own pubbing gaming time)
You would think Spec is a new phenomena..it's impossible to abuse competitively as nobody but the caster and ref are allowed to Spec !!!!
Even scrims !!

If it is to be mandatory, then it shouldn't be costing the server renter money.
And anyway, I run in hardcore mode. That means, at least with the way BF4 sets things, no minimap (which means most of the spotting stuff of both players and commanders is virtually useless), no killcam, etc. In other words players generally only know what they might be told of people's locations by others that are in game. It's nothing to do with anticheat, in fact many would see having specators as a means of cheating, as especially in hardcore it creates an information source for anyone with voice comms not intended to be part of the game.

And the person renting that server is probably paying for the extra slot capacity to allow those spectator slots in addition to the player slots.
If you rent servers you can have a maximum of 70 slots. up to 64 players, 2 commander, up to 4 spectator. As a server renter you can choose whatever combination of those you like. The server administration documentation says so.
For all those who might suggest spectator be mandatory, consider that all current server rental setup documents say you can turn spectator on or off, and even if you do allow spectator these slots can be restricted to a specific player list, i.e. they don't have to be public.
Somehow the server presets are now over-riding the previous rental standards. Such a change should never have been released intentionally without prior warning to the server renters who have to pay for it. If it is another accidental bug, it really shouldn't get past the QA process which clearly is non existent.

Since the new update I also have such an issue with forced spectator slots:
Before I had 32 Slots, now when I load Normal Preset I have 28.
I can switch spectators to zero then I have the 32 slots but then the server runs on custom preset which isnt good for other ppl finding the server.
Is there any workaround to get all 32 slots AND run server on normal settings?
